See it in action

Five surfaces. One vessel.

Guest in the cabins, Bridge on watch, IT for connectivity, AV for entertainment, and AMS in the engine room — the same platform, tuned for each role. Fleet map ashore is the signed-in Overview.

FleetView Satellite fleet picture from the office — position, status, and alarms across every vessel.
Everything in one view

Sensors, power and alarms — side by side.

No jumping between apps. The boat's instruments, her Victron power system and any alarms all land on the same calm dashboard.

Guest infotainment

Like airline IFE — for your vessel.

Ferry and cruise operators are rolling out interactive passenger screens: live route, safety info, dining, and the day's programme — updated from ashore, branded for your line. Superyacht guests get the same calm experience in the salon.

For owners and operators, it's one platform: infotainment for passengers, Bridge for crew, and FleetView when you need the fleet picture from the office.

Meet the crew

Photos and short bios so guests know exactly who to ask, by name.

Activities & menus

The day's plan, dive requests, the dinner tasting — all in one place.

Tenders & toys

Everything aboard — seabobs, paddleboards, the jet tender — ready to request.

Route & programme

Live map, ports of call, and what's on today — built for passenger vessels and yachts alike.

History & Wildlife

150+ coastal regions — stories, wildlife, fish guides, dual photos, and onboard QR. Install via Content Manager volumes; refresh older packs for new places.

From dock to dashboard

Three steps to a connected vessel.

VN-Core installs onboard and does the heavy lifting locally, so the boat stays monitored whether or not the satellite link is up.

Install VN-Core onboard

Deploy on Windows or Docker on a small onboard PC (Intel N300-class or better). It reads NMEA, AIS, Victron and PLC data on the boat's own network.

Activate your license

One key unlocks the surfaces you're licensed for and issues a secure FleetView token tied to the vessel — no spoofing, no shared logins.

Watch it from anywhere

The vessel streams position and telemetry to vesselnow.io. Sign in for the Dashboard, members, and downloads. Remote into Vessel opens a live onboard client through the cloud — logins and changes are recorded.

Everything it does

One platform, the whole boat.

From the chart table to the sun deck — the tools owners, guests and crew actually reach for, all in one place.

Maps & route tracking

See your position live, follow the route ahead, and look back over where you've been.

Weather, GRIB & tides

GRIB wind/pressure/wave overlays, extra basemaps, Stormglass / Meteomatics / NOAA, and tides — situational on the Bridge map, not a plotter.

Sensors & gauges

Speed, depth, wind, tanks, batteries and engines — clear gauges, no guesswork.

Victron power

Battery state, solar input and tank levels straight from your Cerbo GX and VRM.

Crew & activities

Crew bios, the day's activities, tenders & toys — a proper guest experience.

Alarms to your phone

Low battery, shore trip, and custom rules — push and email to owner, captain, and crew. Guests never get alarms.

Time Machine

Scrub back through the day or the last month to replay exactly what happened.

History, Wildlife & Fishing

Coastal stories, wildlife, and fish guides for 150+ corridors — Content Manager volumes, onboard QR, local-region click, and world wrap. Refresh older packs to see new places.

Watch on Apple TV

Put the dashboard on the saloon screen with the VesselNow TV app — found automatically aboard.

Make it yours

Day, Dusk, Night, and Watch themes — easy on the eyes from sun-up to night watch. Your branding for guests, and layouts to suit each screen.

Yours, end to end

Your server. Your data. Your boat.

VesselNow runs on hardware you own — a small Docker box, an appliance, or bare metal aboard. Your data stays with you, and we keep the software fresh with one-tap updates.

Runs on your hardware

Docker, NAS or appliance — self-hosted aboard, no cloud lock-in.

You own the data

Everything the boat records stays on your own system, under your control.

One-tap updates

Check and install the latest version in-app. Your licence and data are preserved.

We handle the rest

Licences, trials and fleet access are managed for you at vesselnow.io.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

Does it keep working without internet at sea?
Yes. VN-Core runs entirely onboard and stores data locally, so the bridge and guest views work offline. When a connection returns — Starlink, cellular or satellite — it backfills the cloud automatically.
What hardware does VN-Core need?
A small fanless PC (Intel N300/N350 class or better) running Windows, or any Docker host on the vessel network. It pulls from your existing NMEA, AIS, Victron and PLC sources — no rip-and-replace.
What can guests and passengers see?
Their own infotainment screen — route and map, the day's activities and menus, crew looking after them, and onboard amenities. On a ferry or cruise ship that means cabin and lounge displays; on a yacht, the salon and guest devices. They never see bridge or admin detail.
What are History Packs?
Offline region packs of coastal places and stories for the Guest History map — harbours, islands, and landmarks along yacht and cruise routes. Over 150 corridors worldwide, with photos, multi-language stories, wildlife and fish catalogs, and onboard QR codes (no internet). Install via Content Manager and regional volume ZIPs (Pacific, Australia, US, Europe), including extra Australia / New Zealand / Pacific places and Kiribati and Tuvalu packs. Markers wrap with the globe; clicking a species that exists in several regions keeps the local summary. Vessels that already have older packs need a Content Manager refresh to see the new places and fish. Core stays slim; Extras is drivers/CCTV only.
Can I monitor a whole fleet from one account?
That's the point. Management companies see every vessel on one map and one alarm board, while each captain sees only their own boat.
What is VesselNow IT?
VesselNow IT is the crew connectivity surface — WAN (Starlink, Peplink, VSAT), LAN, UISP and Teltonika status, speedtest, SNMP power gear, and network inventory. Shore-side, vesselnow.io has an AMS-style IT page when FleetView is enabled. It ships free with the Bridge licence and opens from the logo surface switcher, not the Guest hub.
Where did Engineering go?
Engineering moved under VesselNow AMS as Overview — power, tanks, gensets, and systems for engineers. The Bridge hub is Navigation, CCTV, Guest Admin, Fishing, Status Board, and Watch. Guest hub is Adventure, History, Infotainment, Navigation, Services, and Dashboard; guests open Fishing from the menu.
How do I switch between Bridge, Guest, IT, and AMS?
Use the top-left VesselNow logo dropdown (desktop and mobile). Guests stay on the Guest surface (including the AV guest face); crew sign in for Bridge, IT, AV, and AMS. Shared displays can be pinned to a surface with a device token.
What is VesselNow AV?
VesselNow AV is the entertainment surface, included with Bridge. Crew open it from the logo switcher for live Sonos / WiiM / Denon / Marantz status, monitoring tools, and Fusion stereo (writes stay gated until capture is verified). Guests get a now-playing face from the hub. Shore-side, vesselnow.io has an AMS-style AV monitor. Vendor control (Crestron, RTI, Lutron, and similar) stays parked — it does not run from the cloud. VesselNow IT is network monitoring tools — entertainment health is not on the IT page.
What's included in the free trial?
Full platform access for a single vessel so you can install onboard, stream live data and test alarms before committing. Approval is usually automatic.
